Welcome! My name is Christine Beardslee, and I’m honored to be serving as St. Joseph’s literacy specialist this year!
I recently retired from Carteret Public Schools after more than 25 years of dedicated service, during which I taught a range of grade levels from Kindergarten through Fourth Grade, as well as provided Reading Intervention support. These diverse teaching experiences have deepened my understanding of the unique learning needs across grade levels and the essential skills students need to become successful readers and learners.
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and Music from Kean University, a Master of Science in Reading from Walden University, and most recently, I earned my Reading Specialist certification through Grand Canyon University.
Teaching children how to read is truly my passion, and I am excited to share that passion with the students of St. Joseph’s! My goal is to help every child develop strong literacy skills and a lifelong love of reading! I look forward to working closely with you and being an integral part of your child’s educational journey. God Bless!
