Mr. Williamson's Second Grade Class

  Dear Parents,

          We're off to a great start in second grade.  Month by month, we will be adding more activities and units of study designed to meet the needs and interests of your child.
           In an effort to increase understanding of math skills, students will be exploring new websites which will provide practice.  The two math sites that have been introduced are  Happy Numbers and  Xtramath.   Shortly we will be adding IXL to further student achievement.
           We have been writing on a daily basis and our written expression is growing by leaps and bounds.   Thank you for your support in having your child complete his or her homework on a daily basis. The more we write, the better we get!
             Our music program will begin shortly.  Students have already signed up for the harp class and we hope to post some ​songs on class dojo for you to enjoy.  In addition, within the next week and a half, we will be beginning our practice after school for the Christmas Eve Mass at St. ​Joseph's Church.  Have your child sign-up and join us as we play Christmas songs.  We did it last year and it was very exciting.
              As always, I appreciate what you do for your child and for St.Joseph School.  I continue to look forward to working with you in the months to come.

      This year will be filled with many experiences designed to increase your child's knowledge of the world around him or her, develop new skills and talents as well as addressing academic needs.
