Hi and welcome to the first grade! My name is Ms Mantovani and I have been teaching and shaping young minds for 15 years. I have always had a passion for guiding children on their educational journey and watching them grow educationally . I am honored and excited to be sharing my experience with the students of SJS and getting to be a part of your child's journey. In our class, we will continue to grow through education and fun. We will work to develop a love for reading and writing. We will start each day working with a variety of educational programs. We use Sadlier Math for our daily mathematics. We move on to Voyages for our grammar and Writing. After we move onto our reading program, My View by Savvas. We also have a big focus on STREAM and Project Based Learning in our class.

The Lord's Prayer
Our Father who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name.
They kingdom come.
They will be done on earth, as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who against us,
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.

Hail Mary
Hail Mary, Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now, and at the hour of death.

Grace Before Meals
Bless us, O Lord, and these they gifts,
which we are about to receive
from thy bounty,
Through Christ our Lord.

Act of Contrition
My God, I am sorry for my sins with all my heart.
In choosing to do wrong and failing to do good,
I have sinned against You Whom I should love above all things,
I firmly intend, with Your help, to do penance, to sin no more, and to avoid whatever leads me to sin.
Our Savior Jesus Christ, suffered and died for us.
In His name, my God, have mercy.

for ordinary events and it's surprises,
big and small.
We thank you for the
loving people who surround us.
May we continue to reflect your goodness
